CAMERA SHOTS QUIZ

For this assignment, we were required to perform a short 15 still shot story. Including various composition and angle techniques to help correctly tell our idea and developing tone.

I chose to tell a tragic story of a small Pringle container, called "Mr. Pringles", where he thought he was the mightiest of all, always having the high ground, yet he unexpectedly and undoubtedly met his fate when he was confronted face to face by an Eiffel tower who easily devoured all his Pringles, fleeing the scene, he left Mr. Pringles to his demise.

I think that I did a good job implicating the different types of shots and techniques used to create an idea into an actual 15 shot story. Using close ups for deep emotional impacts on the Pringles "facial expressions." Utilizing medium shots and two-shots also displayed the interaction between the Pringles  and the Eiffel tower, detailing every shot with a different tone throughout the story line. Yet I would have liked to have change the background for the shots, as I find it too distracting and intrusive. I would have liked to have a background that can relate to both characters, Mr. Pringles and the Eiffel tower, and tell a story within the context of the shots. However I would also include other shot techniques in certain areas, one example is in slide 14, i think a close up of the crumbs or the Eiffel tower "consuming" the Pringles would have created a more dramatic tone and a dimmer atmosphere. Creating the sense of both power and helplessness when they shot switches to a shoulder shot in the last slide (15) when the Eiffel tower flees leaving Mr. Pringles alone.
