Editing Softwares

 PURPOSE-

- Editing Softwares are highly important as they help with the creation of media content and easy workflow. Having raw media transformed into a brand new piece of polished material which turns out to be engaging content for the viewers or the audience. Using an editing software helps with quick cuts and the addition of new effects if we want to add them. You can also use many tools like color correction if the footage is looking a little hazy or discolored. If you want to make something black and white to represent maybe a flashback or the past, just lower the saturation! For our Portfolio project, we have 2 options for our editing software: ClipChamp or Adobe Premiere Pro.

CHOSEN SOFTWARE-

- Both ClipChamp and Premier Pro are really good editing softwares where they provide multiple tools to ensure the video turns out how we envisioned it. Yet for our particular opening, I chose to edit using Premier Pro. I chose this software because I am really comfortable using it. Ever since 7th grade, the film class I took required Premier Pro as our editing software. So ever since then I have fallen I love with Premier Pro as my editing software, as it has abundant unlimited accessibilities and range when it comes to imagination. I also passed my certification with Premiere Pro. So I think I can say that our chosen software is quite reliable for our project!

- When it comes to editing in Premiere Pro, I am very comfortable and accustomed to most of the tools in premier pro. I don't just like premiere pro because I am used to it but because it is very efficient and very professional with the outcome of any vide project. Even if you are a beginner, premiere pro adjusts to your skills and offers a tutorial at the beginning of learning. Yet it can be very overwhelming at first because of how many told there are. However, some people might get frustrated because they don't know exactly what they are doing but only adding clips and no sort of color grading or masking. This is why ClipChamp is also a great option for people who want to begin to learn how to edit professional clips. Both of these apps offer clarity and coherence as well as continuity with the writing of your script now put on screen.
